一 .使徒信經： The Apostles 』 Creed （主後二世紀開始形成）
A. 1. 我信上帝，全能的父，創造天地的主。
B. 2. 我信我主耶穌基督，上帝的獨生子；
3. 因聖靈感孕，從童女馬利亞所生；
4. 在本丟彼拉多手下受難，被釘在十字架上，受死、埋葬；
5. 降到陰間；第三天從死裡復活；
6. 他升天，坐在全能父上帝的右邊；
7. 將來必從那裡降臨，審判活人死人。
C. 8. 我信聖靈；
9. 我信聖而公之教會；我信聖徒相通；
10. 我信罪得赦免；
11. 我信身體復活；
12. 我信永生。阿門！
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.
I beleve in my Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into Hedes; The third day He was raised from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; The Holy Catholic (universal) Church; The communion of saints; The forgiveness of sins; The bodily resurrection; And life for eternity. Amen.
使徒信經對付的異端：
· 撒伯流派 (Sabellianism) ：形態論，認為父、子、靈是獨一位格神的三種顯現形式。
· 馬吉安派 (Marcionism) ：否認基督是道成肉身和從死裡復活。
· 諾斯底派 (Gnosticism) ：認為天地不是被真神所造，而是被所謂的「創造神」（ Demiurge ）所造；否認基督有身體。
· 幻影派 (Docetism) ：否認基督有身體，認為他只是神的幻影。
· 多納徒派 (Donatism) ：否認有大公教會。
· 孟他奴派 (Montanism) ：早期靈恩派和極端前千禧年派，否認有大公教會。
· 諾窪天派 (Novatianism) ：否認有大公教會。
